Reach successfully raised $6,000 to trigger a $6,000 matching grant from the New York Avenue Presbyterian Church! With these funds, we will publish the four incredible children’s books written, in partnership with professional illustrators, by our summer program participants.

We celebrated the first day of school by launching our recruitment season at three program sites – Perry Street Prep, Eastern Senior High School, and (our newest site) Ballou Senior High School!

Reach’s summer program participants departed on the organization’s first ever college tour. In Philadelphia, they will visit Temple University, Arcadia University, and Villanova University.

Today, Reach’s summer program participants gave away $2,500 based at our first ever pitch event, Teens Give Back. Free Minds Book Club, represented by a team of Reach tutors, won a grant of $1,250.
