Reach’s elementary school students experience up to 1.5 grade levels of reading growth per year of program participation. This growth – equal to what would be expected in the classroom of a highly effective teacher – is generated by high school tutors who themselves experience more than 2 grade levels of reading growth per year of participation.
Our average tutor arrives in high school reading between the 4th and 6th grade level. This year, 75% of our 11th grade tutors are reading at or above grade level.
In our first two tutor cohorts, over 90% of program participants have graduated on time.
