THE FIRST TEN
THE FELLOWSHIP
The Fellowship is a way to package our existing programs within a unifying structure and set of objectives, and to give students a way to go beyond their normal engagement with Reach. As part of The Fellowship, students earn raises in our core, after-school program by progressing through four defined levels that map to key college or career readiness milestones. In addition, tutors that complete The Fellowship will be eligible to access support for the transition to college or career.
Our work is helping students write their own stories. We start by helping them strengthen their literacy and leadership skills as elementary school reading tutors. From there, we help young people gain knowledge and build skills to prepare them for life beyond high school. As we begin our tenth year, we’re launching The Reach Fellowship to formalize and deepen the programming that has already helped hundreds of students experience transformational growth.
RICO'S STORY
For ten years, Reach generated strong results for teens who entered high school having not found academic or social success. We have helped them to thrive in and graduate from high school. A natural extension of this work, The Fellowship will continue to support teens through innovative and impactful programming during high school with a new focus on ensuring that each teen makes a successful transition to college and/or career.
